RPA Scholarships and Outstanding Paralegal of the Year

RPA SCHOLARSHIPS

RPA is now accepting applications for the Jean H. Proffitt and Susan Brewer, Esq. Scholarship Fund and the Janet Scott Scholarship.  Please note that the application deadline for the Proffitt-Brewer Scholarship is October 1, 2014.  The deadline for the Janet Scott Scholarship is  November 1, 2014.

The Jean H. Proffitt and Susan Brewer, Esq. Scholarship Fund was established by the Richmond Paralegal Association (RPA) to assist Richmond metro paralegal students with tuition and text book costs.

The Janet Scott Scholarship was established by the Richmond Paralegal Association (RPA) as an annual award to a RPA member in the amount of the cost of applying for and taking the NALA CP Exam or the NALA Advanced Certified Paralegal exam (ACP).

OUTSTANDING PARALEGAL OF THE YEAR

Each year the Richmond Paralegal Association recognizes an outstanding paralegal who has made significant contributions to the development of the paralegal profession in the Richmond metro area within the last 12 months.

To nominate a paralegal, submit a letter to the Membership Committee by August 1 with the following information:

  • nominee name
  • nominee address
  • nominee telephone number
  • your name
  • your address
  • your telephone number
  • a short paragraph stating why the nominee should be RPA’s Outstanding Paralegal of the Year
